Bio

At Robins Cloud LLP, Attorney Brian Teets fights for the victims of negligence and abuse in personal injury, wrongful death, and elder abuse cases. He focuses the bulk of his practice on elder abuse cases. He also works on employment and wage hour cases fighting for the rights of California workers.

Brian is well known for his great attention to detail and tailored, client-first approach to representation. He devotes time to get to know each of his clients on a personal level. Not only because it often proves instrumental to resolving their cases, but also because he genuinely cares about his clients’ well-being.

As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, he is acutely aware of how the law can impact a person’s life—for better and worse. He strives to apply the law to improve the lives of his clients, and he often says that working in a field where he can hold accountable the Goliaths of the world is the most rewarding aspect of his job. Needless to say, he is proud to take on greedy businesses and government bodies whose blatant disregard for public safety and for the laws of the state causes real harm to real people.

Before joining the attorney team at Robins Cloud LLP, Brian advocated for individuals who developed mesothelioma due to corporate negligence. Litigating asbestos cases against large companies and corporations gave him invaluable experience, as well as the chance to hone his premier legal skills.

Brian grew up in Biloxi, Mississippi, dreaming of one day practicing law in a big city. After earning his bachelor’s degree in history from Tulane University, he moved to the nation’s capital. There, he worked toward his J.D. at the American University Washington College of Law.

Just like his legal career, Brian’s law school days were chock-full of accomplishments. Not only was he a Dean’s fellow for the school’s Legal Research and Writing Program, but he was also a research assistant for a professor working in the area of First Amendment protection for whistleblowers. In addition, he had the honor of becoming GLAAD’s inaugural legal intern and a McCleary Law Fellow at the Human Rights Campaign. He also competed in national competitions all over the country as part of a mock trial honors society.

When Brian isn’t fighting for his clients, he can be found taking his pandemic puppy to the dog park or exploring LA’s vibrant culinary and live music scenes.
